Aftermath

An ability that triggers after the card is destroyed.

Aggro

A high tempo deck with a play style focused on reducing the opponent's health down to zero as quickly as possible to win the game.

Assault

If damage was dealt to the enemy player in a turn, playing a card in the same turn with this keyword triggers that card’s associated ability.

Bank

A place in a match where cards are stored or ‘banked’ in order to create the energy needed to play cards each turn throughout a game. Cards which are banked in a game cannot typically be played for the remainder of the game.

Battle Pass

A set of monthly milestones and rewards in Parallel that can be claimed as a free-to-play user or as a premium (paid) user for additional unlockables.

Bond

A guild where Parallel digital collectible cards and assets can be borrowed and loaned amongst its guild members freely.

Combat Damage

Damage a unit does against other units or the enemy during a turn.

Defender

A unit that can block enemy unit attacks if that unit is not Evasive.

Effect

A type of card that can be used to play one-time spells or effects which alter card(s) status or the conditions of the board.

Evasive

A unit with this ability cannot have its attacks blocked by Defender units.

Mirror Match

Playing against the exact same Parallel / Paragon as your own.

Mulligan

A term used to describe the decision making stage at the start of a game where players draw five random cards from their deck and decide how many they would like to keep or redraw for their Starting Hand.

Muster

An ability that is triggered when this card is played onto the field.

On-Curve

The term used to describe when playing cards on a turn which corresponds to their cost. For example playing a 2 cost card on turn two is ‘on-curve’.

PRIME

Parallel’s in-game token and crypto currency that can be earned in the game.

Planetfall

The name of the first expansion set of cards released in Parallel.

Shielded

An ability protecting a unit from the first enemy Effect card that targets it.

Split

A type of card in Parallel that can be played either as a unit or as an Effect.

Token

A unit that cannot enter your hand or be sent to the waste and is removed from the game when destroyed.

Unit

A type of card that is played on the field and can attack other units or the opponent player directly.

Universal

A card that can be used in any Parallel deck without restriction.

Waste

 A place where cards go once they have been wasted, destroyed or discarded.

Win Condition

The scenario that’s more likely to win the game for a player.
